For full and part-time undergraduate degree courses at University Centre St Helens, eligible students can apply for a tuition fee loan from Student Loans Company. You can apply for the exact amount of loan to cover your tuition fees and this will be paid directly to us by the Student Loan Company on your behalf.
This tuition fee loan isn't based on household income, there is no credit check and there is no upper age limit to apply. You won’t have to pay anything back until the April after you finish your studies and your income is over £25,000 a year.
To apply for the student finance, you don't need a confirmed place at university or college. You should apply using your preferred choice of course and this can be changed at a later date if needed.
In addition to a tuition fee loan, full-time undergraduate students may also apply for help with living costs in the form of a maintenance loan and extra financial support if have dependents and/or additional support needs due to an illness or disability.
