Picture of one of our tutorsSt Helens College and University Centre St Helens will be hosting a Teacher Training Information Event in February to raise awareness of teaching and assessing qualifications available.

Taking place on Wednesday 22nd February, 4.30pm – 7.00pm, the event will be the perfect opportunity for those looking to change career or to take the next step in their studies and are interested in training to become a teacher.

During the event attendees will be able to find out more about the various teaching opportunities available, including courses to help those who have an ambition to teach, and for those who already work in education and are looking to qualify. There is also an opportunity to discuss your options and receive advice on your specific training route, as well as gaining advice on financial support options available to students.

Teaching qualifications on offer include the level 3 Award in Education and Training, which is suitable for those looking to gain an introduction to teaching as well as full teaching qualifications including Certificate in Education (Education and Training) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (Education and Training) (PGCE), both validated by the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) and studied at University Centre St Helens.

In addition to teaching qualifications, the event is also open to those interested in assessing qualifications allowing people to gain the skills needed to assess qualifications including National Vocational Qualifications or other qualifications such as BTECs.
