Final year University Centre St Helens creative arts degree students will be displaying their work at The World of Glass, St Helens in May.
The Vortex exhibition showcases the exciting work of students, set to graduate this year from the University Centre’s BA (Hons) Photography, Graphic Design and Fine Art Painting degree courses.
Taking place from Saturday 6th May - Friday 23rd June the public are welcome to attend the free exhibition to explore and view some of the best work from emerging artists in the Northwest.
This annual Vortex event is highly regarded and has become one of the most popular in St Helens’ art exhibition calendar. Works on display will include paintings, illustrations, photographs and graphic design portfolios with the exhibition building on the high standards of creativity that has been seen in previous shows.
Martyn Wigfield, Head of Higher Education at University Centre St Helens commented ahead of the exhibition: “We are delighted this year to once again be exhibiting the work at The World of Glass. The Vortex show is the culmination of our undergraduates work, research and experiences on our creative arts degree courses. We look forward to welcoming members of the public to attend and see some of the fantastic student work on display.”
There are a limited number of places still available to join University Centre St Helens this September on its Creative Arts degree courses. Anybody interested in attending should come to the next Open Day on Monday 19th June, 5.00pm – 7.00pm. It is an excellent opportunity to visit and discover the many courses on offer and get answers to any of the questions you may have.
The exhibition takes place in Gallery One, The World of Glass.
