Our student performing, ChicagoOur level 3 Performing Arts students have their jazz hands at the ready, as preparations commence for their musical rendition of Broadway’s favourite and longest-running American musical, Chicago.

The students have worked extremely hard over the last month, undertaking rigorous rehearsals, creating elaborate costumes and building impressive sets, all in preparation for their performance this evening.

The musical performance, Chicago, has delighted audiences around the world with its two Vaudevillian criminals; Velma and Roxie, played by our Connecting Classroom to Career Ambassador, and aspiring actress, Caitlin.

The performance tells the story of the pairs murderous crimes, time in prison and subsequent trials, and will see the students perform the musicals’ classic showstoppers, ‘All That Jazz’, ‘I Can’t Do It Alone’ and ‘Razzle Dazzle’.

The students also had the opportunity to showcase their talent to a huge audience at the St Helens Theatre Royal recently, where they performed two Bob Fosse-inspired musical numbers as part of Rebound’s Dance Showcase Evening.
