Picture from our Private Viewing of the FRAME Exhibition. People looking at artwork,

Staff and students from St Helens College recently celebrated the achievements of students on a range of creative arts courses at their annual end-of-year show, FRAME.

Showcasing a diverse range of work, produced by our Art and Design, Graphic Design, Photography, Access to HE Art and Design and Foundation Diploma in Art and Design students, displays included paintings, illustrations, photographs, design portfolios and much more!

The exhibit, which is open to the public from Monday 17th June - Wednesday 19th June 2019, provides many students with their first opportunity to exhibit to friends, family and the wider local arts community.

The annual event is highly regarded in the College calendar and enables students to make important decisions on how to display their work, whilst also implementing key employability skills such as working to deadlines, working as part of a team and communication skills.

The private view, which took place recently, concluded with an awards ceremony, where prizes for exemplary work were awarded to one student per subject area/level. Award winners included:

  • L1 Diploma in Art and Design – Bethany
  • L2 Diploma in Art and Design – Lewis

The end-of-year show is the highlight of our year and we are so proud of the work produced by all of the students across the department. The exhibition provides a great opportunity for students to reflect on their work and reflects how much their portfolios have developed throughout the academic year. As always the show was really well attended and it was lovely to celebrate with family and friends.”
