Jewellery Taster: Make a Summer Bangle

Bangles can be the perfect accessory and complement any outfit. If you fancy making your own, unique bangle then this course will be perfect for you. You will learn how jewellery is shaped and moulded as well as unleash your creative side by designing your own bangle.

This course is great for beginners but could also interest those who have had previous experience in jewellery making.

When will I start the course and how long will it take?

This course starts on Friday 25th May 2018. You will attend College for one day from 9.30am - 3.00pm.

The course will be held at St Helens College Town Centre Campus.

What will I study?

You will learn how jewellery such as bangles is created and gain an insight into bangle shapes and designs that you could implement into your own creation. This will allow you to take on the mind set of both a jewellery maker and designer.

Most of the day will be spent participating in practical work. You will also gain an insight into techniques used to make jewellery such as bangles.

You will then get to take your bangle home with you at the end of the day.

How is it assessed?

There is no formal assessment. You will be given feedback based on your progress with suggestions and guidance for areas for improvement.

Do I need any previous qualifications to start this course?

There are no formal entry requirements. As with all our leisure courses the main emphasis is to come along and enjoy the course. All you need is commitment and enthusiasm.

What are the course fees?

The total cost of the course is £45.

What can I go on to do once I have completed this course?

Upon completion of this course, you could go on to complete one of our many other jewellery taster courses including stamped jewellery or making a ring.
