OCR Level 2 Diploma in Administration (Business Professional)

The level 2 Diploma in Administration (Business Professional) course will provide you with the knowledge and practical skills to work in a variety of secretarial and administrative posts at junior level.

You will develop essential knowledge of how to carry out every day and more complex administrative tasks, such as managing information, financial transactions and organising meetings. You will gain an understanding of employment rights, working with others and customer service in a business environment. You will also learn to use office equipment, touch type and produce a wide range of written documentation.

When will I start the course and how long will it take?

The course will start in September and will take one year to complete.

The course takes place at St Helens College, Town Centre Campus, St Helens, WA10 1PP.

You will study alongside like-minded people in classes delivered by friendly supportive tutors.

How is it assessed?

You will be assessed by a range of different methods including observations, witness testimony, worksheets, assignments, projects, reports, discussions and verbal and written questioning.

Do I need any previous qualifications to start this course?

You are required to have a GCSE in English language at grade 4 (equivalent to grade C).

What can I go on to do once I have completed this course?

You will have gained secretarial skills which can lead to employment in an office environment as a junior PA or a junior administrative assistant. The skills you will develop will hold you in good stead no matter what career you decide to follow.

Alternatively, you have the opportunity to progress on to the OCR Level 3 Diploma in Administration (Business Professional) or progress into employment.
