Level 3 NCFE Diploma in Skills for Business: Enterprise

Become a leading entrepreneur in the industry. You will learn how businesses are created from the ground up, how they grow and how they become successful.

Develop your skills and knowledge in marketing, finance and project management, which can be transferred to a wide range of careers or help you in setting up your own business.

You will go behind the scenes at Disneyland Paris, exploring what it takes to successfully run a global enterprise.

When will I start the course and how long will it take?

The course will start in September and will take one year to complete.

What will I study?

During this course, you will cover the following:

  • Starting a small business
  • Finance for a new business
  • Innovation in a business environment
  • Business planning and pitching
  • Producing documents in a business environment
  • Communicating in a business environment
  • Solving problems and working with others in a business environment
  • Managing and improving your own performance

There is also an opportunity to undertake a two-week work placement with a local employer. Your tutors will be able to support you to do this.

How is it assessed?

You will be assessed by a range of different methods such as observations, witness testimony, worksheets, assignments, projects, reports, discussions and verbal and written questioning.

Do I need any previous qualifications to start this course?

You should have a GCSE at grade 4 (equivalent to grade C) or above, in English and maths and three GCSEs at grade 4 (equivalent to grade C) or above.

English and maths forms an important part of your future, ensuring you achieve the best success in your chosen career. But don't worry, if you haven't got the desired grades, we will still have a course available for you.

What are the course fees?

If you are a school leaver, aged 16-18, (under the age of 19 on or before 31st August 2017), you do not pay tuition fees or examination and registration fees and may be eligible for additional support depending on your financial situation. For more information, please click here.

What can I go on to do once I have completed this course?

Upon successful completion of this course, you will have the opportunity to progress onto HNC Business at University Centre St Helens, developing your skills and knowledge at a more advanced level.

This business qualification is adaptable across a wide range of sectors and industries, leading to exciting opportunities within logisitics, sales, marketing, management, retail, customer service and many more!
