Cupcakes and Pastries - Cookery Course

This four week course intends to give you a real treat on how to accomplish the perfect cupcakes and pastries.

During the course you will learn the tricks of a professional pastry chef and make your own homemade cupcakes and pastries to satisfy your taste buds or impress your friends and family. Using simple ingredients, you will learn real skills in preparing and baking a whole range of savoury pastry products and delicious decorate cupcakes.

This inspiring course will help you develop a culinary flair, provide you with a collection of recipes and at the same time provide good fun. Taking some simple ingredients, we will show you how to maximize your time and bake up some delectable treats.

When will I start the course and how long will it take?

This course will start on Tuesday 9th January 2018. You will attend college for four weeks every Tuesday evening from 6.00pm - 9.00pm.

What will I study?

This course will allow you to explore a variety of ingredients and develop your craft skills in simple yet effective cooking and baking.

Additionally, the course will encourage you to develop creative ideas and show you the art of presenting good wholesome bakes, from a range of commodities that won't break the bank. We will provide you with a small compendium of recipes and will help you develop some new skills and culinary techniques. We will also give you culinary tips in how to make baking a fun and enjoyable past time.

How is it assessed?

There is no formal assessment. The course is aimed to increase your own knowledge of the subject matter.

Do I need any previous qualifications to start this course?

There are no formal entry requirements, as with all of our leisure cookery courses, the main emphasis is to come along and enjoy. The course is suitable for all levels of ability.

You will need to wear strong, flat sensible shoes and bring along an apron, tea towel, and an oven glove.

Please bring along a container to take what you have made home with you.

What are the course fees?

The total cost of the course is £120. The course price is inclusive of all of the ingredients that you will need for each session. You can take home your creations to enjoy.

What can I go on to do once I have completed this course?

You may wish progress onto our other Colours Cookery School courses or alternatively you may wish to pursue an accredited qualification in this subject which will allow you to practice your skills in the industry.
