Level 3 CACHE Diploma in Early Years Educator (EYE)

This course ensures all students receive in-depth knowledge of children, from birth to 7 years and practical experience working with children from birth to 5 years.

When will I start the course and how long will it take?

This course has start dates in September, January and April and takes two years to complete. You will spend two days in varied childcare work placements. Some additional placement days may be necessary to complete the work placement portfolio.

How is it assessed?

The course is assessed by a mixture of assessment tasks, research projects and performance on work placement.

Do I need any previous qualifications to start this course?

You should have five GCSEs at grade C or above, including English language and maths. Relevant Functional Skills may also be accepted. You may also have an appropriate subject at level 2. You will need to pass a Disclosure and Baring Service Check and have an appropriate assessment outcome from induction.

What are the course fees?

The total cost of this course is £2,882.

If you are aged 19+ you could also choose to apply for a 19+ Advanced Learner Loan to cover your course fees enabling you to study now, pay later. Loan eligibility isn't dependent on income or employment status and there is no credit check. Loan repayments don't start until you have finished your course and earn over £25,000 per year

What can I go on to do once I have completed this course?

Upon achievement of this qualification it is intended that learners will be able to enter the workforce as Early Years Educators or access Higher Education.
