Level 2 ITQ Certificate in IT User Skills

ITQ is an ideal qualification to improve job performance, find a new job or learn how to use today's technology more efficiently. It consists of a cluster of units covering subjects such as Word Processing, Presentations, Spreadsheets and Databases.

This programme will be suitable for you if you have completed the iTQ Level 1, ECDL or who are currently working and using IT to a good standard.

When will I start the course and how long will it take?

All the ITQ programmes are flexible learning - so you can start as soon as youhave been interviewed and enrolled.

You can choose to attend College over timeslots to meet your needs;

  • Mondays, 1.00pm - 4.00pm, 6pm - 9pm.
  • Wednesdays, 6pm - 9pm
  • Thursdays, 1.00pm - 4.00pm

What will I study?

A range of ITQ units using the Microsoft Office suite for example;

  • Word Processing - how to format documents, mail mege, integrated reports
  • Presentations - creating a presentation, using master slides, creating organisation charts
  • Spreadsheets - Linking spreadsheets, using absolute cells, a variety of functions and combined graphs/charts.

How is it assessed?

The qualification will be achieved by completing an assignment at the end of each unit and a report for the mandatory unit.

Do I need any previous qualifications to start this course?

Entry onto this programme is dependent on your current IT skills and is subject to an informal interview. A good level of English is desirable.

What are the course fees?

Course fees are dependent on personal circumstances. You will be provided with more information on fees and additional financial support available upon enquiring.

What can I go on to do once I have completed this course?

Successfully achieving certification in ITQ can open the door to a whole range of employment and career progression opportunities. The course is also suitable for progression onto an IT level 3 programme.
