Introduction to Web Design

The internet is a business necessity these days along with E-mail providing rapid communication and the web providing a worldwide marketing platform through channels such as your own website and Social media.

When will I start the course and how long will it take?

This course will start on Wednesday 11th January 2017 and 19th April 2017 from 6.00pm - 8.00pm and will run for 10 weeks, with 1 session per week.

What will I study?

The course will cover how quickly and easily you can build an effective web presence through:

  • Web Page design software use and direct coding of the HTML and CSS to create effective pages;
  • The basics of using JavaScript to add functionality to your web pages;
  • The basics of image manipulation to make graphics effective and attractive on your web page.

How is it assessed?

There is no formal assessment on this course and is suitable for all levels. As with all our leisure courses the main emphasis is to come, learn and enjoy.

Do I need any previous qualifications to start this course?

No formal qualifications are needed. However, a familiarity with using the web/internet and file and folder handling is an advantage.

What are the course fees?

The total cost of this course £99.00.

What can I go on to do once I have completed this course?

The course provides a basis to continue self-study in the subject. You may wish to continue your studies with us by enrolling one of our many computing and IT courses.
