Level 2 Award in 2D Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Manufacturing

This course is suitable for those who wish to further develop their abilities in the field of Computer Aided Design (CAD).

When will I start the course and how long will it take?

This course will commence in September. Taking 18 weeks to complete you will attend the College for one evening per week.

What will I study?

You will gain basic experience in the use of Auto Cad systems for the purpose of design and draughting. Depending on your interests, the following areas can be covered:

  • 2D Computer aided design
  • 2D Computer aided part programming
  • 2D Manual part programming
  • 2D CNC machining
  • Reinstate the work area(s)
  • 2D CAD online test

How is it assessed?

You will be assessed through a combination of assignments and an externally set examination.

Do I need any previous qualifications to start this course?

No formal qualifications are necessary for this course.

What are the course fees?

The total cost of this course is £450.

What can I go on to do once I have completed this course?

Upon successful completion of this course you may to progress onto further qualifications such as the Level 3 City and Guilds 7579
