CIPD Level 3 Foundation Certificate in Human Resource Practice/Learning and Development Practice
This course is suitable to those who wish to pursue a career in Human Resources or Learning Development. This course will develop the skills and knowledge of those who are currently responsible for HR and L&D activities within their organisation or those who are contracted as employees or independent consultants within the field of HR and L&D.
When will I start the course and how long will it take?
This course will commence in January and September. Taking one year to complete you will attend the college for three hours a week.
What will I study?
Based at the Town Centre Campus you will be taught by industry professionals and you will explore the key concepts and elements of human resources. The following areas will be covered:
- Developing yourself
- Understanding organisations
- Information systems
- Employee relations
- Resourcing talent
- Recruitment and selection
- Designing and delivering learning
How is it assessed?
You will complete a number of assignments and produce a portfolio of evidence.
Do I need any previous qualifications to start this course?
There are no formal entry requirements, however students are expected to be working in an organisation or have access to an organisation where they can carry out the programme requirements.

What can I go on to do once I have completed this course?
Upon successful completion of this course you may wish to progress onto the level 5 Intermediate Certificate and Diploma in HRM.
