CIPD Level 7 Advanced Diploma in HRM

This course is suitable for people who have responsibility for HR decision making within an organisation at either an operational, tactical or more strategic level. You may also have responsibilities for the HR functional activities within an organisations, or be a self-employed consultant supporting organisations meeting their goals.

When will I start the course and how long will it take?

This course will commence in September and will take two years to complete. You will attend college on a Monday afternoon for seven hours per week. It is expected that you would undertake approximately six to ten hours of home study too.

What will I study?

Based at the Town Centre Campus you will be taught by industry professionals and you will explore the key concepts and elements of human resources. The following areas will be covered:

  • Leading, managing and developing people
  • Developing skills for business leadership
  • Investigating a business issue from a HR perspective
  • HRM in context
  • Resourcing and talent management
  • Reward management
  • Managing employee relations and designing
  • Designing, delivering and evaluating learning and development provision

How is it assessed?

You will complete a number of assignments, undertake two, three hour examinations and produce a management research report.

Do I need any previous qualifications to start this course?

You must have successfully completed an Intermediate Diploma in HRM or a relevant HR related degree and be able to demonstrate strategic involvement within your business.

What can I go on to do once I have completed this course?

Upon successful completion of this course you will be able to progress onto the final stages of a full Masters qualification.
