Access to HE Diploma (Logistics with Business Management)

The aim of this Access to HE qualification is primarily to prepare students for progression to university by offering them the opportunity to achieve a nationally recognised qualification.

This is ideal if you have missed out on the opportunity to study previously, but now wish to improve your future prospects and plan to undertake a degree. If you are looking to develop the skills necessary for entry to university, learn new skills to boost your career prospects, or change your career direction to an entirely new area, then this could be for you.

This full-time course is designed to cater for students who have maturity and life experience beyond formal education. It is the equivalent of two to three A levels (level 3), the normal minimum requirement for entry on to a degree course. Completed in one academic year, this is an intensive programme, but you will be assisted throughout with study skills and applying for university, until you feel confident and ready for the next level.

This course is for students who wish to study Logistics and Transport Management or business-related degree at university but who currently lack the necessary qualifications to apply.

A career in logistics could see you working in a passenger or freight transport environment, driving, or managing aircraft, shipping or road haulage operations. Alternatively, you could be working with online systems to manage orders, warehousing and the fulfilment of goods for large retail organisations.

This course is also the ideal first step to a career in Logistics and Transport Management, Business, Management, Finance, Marketing, Public Relations, Human Resources, Hospitality, Leisure, Tourism and public sector organisations.
