Level 3 Diploma in UK and Overseas Holiday Representatives

This advanced level course is designed for aspiring holiday representatives, with a strong interest in working within the UK or overseas.

You will learn how to respond to emergency situations, as well as understand the roles of a holiday resort representative, chalet host and holiday park host.

Throughout this exciting course you will undertake interesting trips within the UK and overseas and hear from experienced guest speakers within the industry.

When will I start the course and how long will it take?

The course will start in September and will take one year to complete.

What will I study?

During this course, you will cover the following units:

  • Tour operators products and services
  • Overseas holiday representatives
  • Overseas resort operations
  • Responding to emergency situations in tourism destinations
  • Package holidays
  • Ski chalet hosts
  • Holiday park hosts

How is it assessed?

You will be assessed through a combination of short written tests, case studies, presentations and role plays.

Do I need any previous qualifications to start this course?

You should have four GCSEs at grade 4 (equivalent to grade C) or above including English, or a level 2 qualification.

To maximise your employment opportunities, you will need to be aged 18 upon completion of this course.

What are the course fees?

If you are a school leaver, aged 16-18, (under the age of 19 on or before 31st August 2018), you do not pay tuition fees or examination and registration fees and may be eligible for additional support depending on your financial situation. For more information, please click here.

Once you have completed this course, you will be ready to launch your career in travel and tourism, one of the most exciting and fastest growing industries.

Career opportunities include overseas resort representative, transfer representative and children's representative, chalet host or resort courier.
