St Helens College has retained its Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply centre of excellence status for the 20th consecutive year.
The Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) is an international organisation, based in the UK, serving the purchasing and supply profession – they are the leading body representing the field of procurement and supply chain management.
Centre of excellence status is awarded to centres that can demonstrate exceptional performance across all aspects of their CIPS procurement and supply provision.
St Helens College is the only general further education college in the Liverpool City Region to hold the prestigious accolade as Centre of Excellence for procurement and supply qualifications.
Tracey Boardman, Programme Leader for Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) qualifications at the college spoke of her delight at receiving the accolade. She said: "Receiving Centre of Excellence status is not given lightly. The audit by the Chartered Institute was very testing. However, we are very proud to know that our teaching meets such a high standard.”
