Leigh HattonOur students are once again are celebrating their success after achieving top marks. Many students have achieved triple Distinction star grades (D*D*D*) in their vocational courses, giving them the same UCAS tariff points as those achieving A* grades at A level, and securing their places at first choice universities. The College remains proud of the performance of students reflected in high Average Point Scores per Vocational Student and Excellent Value Added Scores.

Leigh Hatton, our Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma in Business student, came to us from Haydock High School and has achieved D*D*D*.

"I'm so pleased to have achieved D*D*D* in my studies, I'll be moving onto study Events Management at John Moores University in September and I can't wait to start.

I tried out several different courses and subject areas after I left school, but I couldn't find one that suited me until I came to St Helens College to study Business Studies. I enjoyed it straight away, the tutors are supportive and help you with your work when you need it.

There were so many interesting parts to the course, it's hard to pick what I enjoyed the most, but I did love the marketing and advertising modules.

If you're considering this course I'd definitely recommend it – the staff are amazing they help you through the course. Business is a part of every job really so it's a great qualification to get."
