Students ready for David Crystal presentationA level English Language and Literature students had an amazing opportunity to learn from one of the country’s leading English Language specialists, Professor David Crystal. Popular topics discussed were ‘Glamorous Grammar’, ‘The Language of Shakespeare’ and ‘The Story of English in 100 Words.’

Professor David Crystal, best known for his encyclopedia for Cambridge University Press, ‘The Cambridge Encyclopedia of Language,’ has also been a consultant, contributor, or presenter on several radio and television programmes and series for the BBC.

The students really enjoyed the day and were able to take away insightful information to help them with their studies over the coming months. Even the lecturers were starstruck!
