This short course is specifically designed to support 16-18 year olds back into education. Combining a qualification in personal development, personal health and social education and a high level of support, this course will provide young people with new opportunities to engage in further education, training or employment in the future.

More information

This course has various start dates throughout the year, and lasts for 12 weeks (1 term).

During the course, students will:

  • Explore personal strengths and barriers and develop skills that can be transferable in education and the workplace
  • Increase social and personal skills
  • Increase functional maths and English skills

You will build a portfolio of work which shows what you have achieved throughout the course and you will also receive regular, informal reviews.

You don’t need any qualifications to join Directions, just a desire to make a positive change in your life.
