Aged 19 or over(those aged 19-23 must have already achieved at least a full level 2 qualification or equivalent e.g. a full level 2 qualification or 5 GCSEs at grade A*-C or 4-9. Those who have not yet achieved a qualification at this level are not eligible to undertake one of these distance learning courses.) *The College will carry out a simple funding assessment to check eligibility. Level 2 Certificate in Falls Prevention Awareness

Falls are the most common accident for people aged 65 and over, with 10,000 falls occurring every day. Accidental falls can have extremely serious consequences, impacting on both physical and mental health including fractures, feelings of isolation and a lack of confidence.

This course is ideal for individuals who are currently working in a healthcare profession, or are looking to launch their career in a healthcare setting. It is also suitable for friends or family members who help to support older people, who are more likely to experience a fall.

As the course is completed online, the use of a computer or laptop is recommended, however all student have access to our campus libraries including our quiet study spaces and computer suites!

Assessment Methods

This is an online distance learning course which is assessed through a series of online assessments.

Full tutor support will be provided by the College throughout the course and you will be able to contact your tutor via telephone, email and Microsoft Teams.

You will complete the course on an interactive, online learning platform and upon successful completion you will be awarded with a nationally recognised qualification and a certificate of achievement by CACHE NCFE.

Entry Requirements

No previous qualifications are necessary, although some basic computer skills are required.

This course is suitable for anyone who is already working or looking to secure a role in this industry or those wishing to progress onto further education.
