This advanced level course is the final step to preparing you for a successful career in the industry!

You will cover everything from restoring mouldings and producing reverse moulds from plaster models to applying plastering materials to interiors and exteriors.

The course will start in September and will take one year to complete.

This course will take place at our STEM Centre Campus, Pocket Nook Street, St Helens, WA9 1TT.

During this course, you will cover the following:

  • Principles of organising, planning and pricing construction work
  • Restoring in-situ mouldings
  • Applying plastering materials to interiors
  • Applying plastering materials to exteriors
  • Environmental technology systems
  • Producing reverse moulds from plaster models for architectural mouldings
  • Producing, fixing and finishing pre-cast architectural mouldings

You will also complete valuable work experience alongside this course.

During this course, you’ll be assessed through an end of year exam and practical synoptic exercise.

You should have 4 GCSEs at grade 4 or above including English and maths, and a relevant level 2 qualification.

If you are a school leaver, aged 16-18, (under the age of 19 on or before 31st August 2025), you do not pay tuition fees or examination and registration fees and may be eligible for additional support depending on your financial situation. Upon successful completion of this course, you will have gained all of the skills, knowledge and experience required to successfully enter the industry as a Plasterer!
