80% College 20% Placement

You’ll spend 80% of your time in College and 20% on a 45-day placement with an employer, gaining amazing experience.

1 T Level = 3 A Levels

1 T Level is equivalent to 3 A levels, which means you can progress to university, employment or a higher apprenticeship!

Backed by Businesses

T Levels have been designed with leading businesses and employers to give you the knowledge and skills you need to succeed.

Apprenticeships are paid work, suitable for students who know what occupation they want to pursue and wish to train ‘on the job’ (80% in the workplace, 20% off the job). T Levels are largely classroom/workshop based, with a significant industry placement (80% in college, 20% in the workplace).

You will study one T Level on its own and full-time to support you to develop practical skills, knowledge and experience in your chosen career pathway.

We do encourage you to research and find your own placement, but we have a dedicated Work Placement Team who will support you to do this, to ensure it matches your career aspirations and aligns to your T Level route.

“I completed seven placements alongside my course, including volunteering at the College’s animal unit on weekends! This has really boosted my personal statement when applying to university.”
