How to Find Us

Getting to St Helens College is easier than ever! 

Our Town Centre and STEM Centre campuses are less than a 10-minute walk from the central bus station and train stations linking to public bus routes across Cheshire, Merseyside, Greater Manchester and Lancashire.  

Travelling by Car

From M62
Exit the M62 at junction 7 and take the roundabout exit onto the A570 (St Helens Linkway). Follow this straight into St Helens Town Centre and you will pick up signs for either the Town Centre Campus (WA10 1PP) or STEM Centre, Technology Campus (WA9 1TT).

From M6
Exit the M6 at junction 23 and join A580 (East Lancashire Road) for around 2 miles. Bear left and continue onto A58 until you pick up the A570 (St Helens Linkway). Follow this straight into St Helens Town Centre and you will pick up signs for either the Town Centre Campus (WA10 1PP) or STEM Centre, Technology Campus (WA9 1TT).

Car Parking

Town Centre Campus 

The Town Centre Campus car park is reserved for staff use only. Unfortunately, there is no student or visitor parking available, and this is noted on the signs at the entrance to the car park. 

There is some reserved car parking available for those in possession of a valid Blue Badge. This is provided at the entrance to the building within the staff parking area and Blue Badges must be displayed at all times when parked. Prior permission to use these bays must be sought to avoid any penalties. Please contact the Reception Team for more information. 

Restrictions are in place during the following times: 

Monday – Thursday 3.00am – 4.00pm 
Friday 3.00am – 12.00noon 
Saturday & Sunday 3.00am – 10.00am 

Outside of these times, students and visitors are welcome to use the car park – subject to availability. 

St Helens Council do have a number of nearby car parks in the Town Centre that students can choose to park in. Find out more information here: www.sthelens.gov.uk/carparks

STEM Centre Campus 

The car park at the STEM Centre Campus is located at the back of the campus. Staff, students and visitors are welcome to use the car park subject to availability. For visitors, their car registration must be submitted at Reception when signing in to collect a visitor badge.  

Travelling by Bus

The nearest bus station is located in the St Helens Town Centre between the Hardshaw Centre and Bickerstaffe Street. It is a 5-minute walk from the Town Centre Campus and a 10-minute walk from the STEM Centre Campus. Plan your route to St Helens College via bus here: www.arrivabus.co.uk

Travelling by Train

St Helens College’s campuses are only 10-minute walk from St Helens Central Train Station. This station is on the main line between Wigan North Western station and Liverpool Lime Street station. Plan your route to St Helens College via train here: www.nationalrail.co.uk
