Introduction to Entrepreneurship

This course is suitable for students aged 19 and over.

This short introductory course is an engaging programme for those with an interest in the vocational area of Business. It will help you to develop the knowledge, understanding and skills necessary to prepare for employment or move onto a level 2 qualification.

When will I start the course and how long will it take?

The course has start dates in September and January and will take one day to complete.

This course will take place at our Town Centre Campus, Water Street, St Helens, WA10 1PP.

What will I study?

Topics covered include:

  • What is entrepreneurship?
  • The entrepreneurial mindset
  • Entrepreneurial traits, skills and abilities
  • Creativity and innovation in entrepreneurship

How is it assessed?

There is no formal assessment. You will be given feedback based on your progress with suggestions and guidance for areas for improvement.

Do I need any previous qualifications to start this course?

There are no formal entry requirements

What are the course fees?

You may be eligible for Community Learning funding if you have not recently participated in a similar Community Learning programme, or received any other recent government-funded training.

There are a number of fee options for this course including:

  • If you are unemployed - FREE
  • If you are employed - £30

What can I go on to do once I have completed this course?

Successful completion of this course may help prepare you for employment or you may choose to progress onto a level 2 qualification.
