Personal and Social Development Certificate (Entry 3)


This course is suitable for students aged 19 and over.

This course is designed to help you set clear goals, improve your confidence, overcome barriers, and rediscover your self-motivation.

This course allows you to gain an entry level three qualification and is a great confidence builder, after which, many of our students take up further training to help them achieve their dream goals.

This course can be delivered remotely online, in the classroom or by blended learning. Courses can also be delivered as part of packages, depending on your goals. More information can be provided on enquiry or at enrolment.

When will I start the course and how long will it take?

This course has flexible start dates throughout the year.

The flexibility of the course allows you to learn at your own pace and is estimated to take up to 35 hours to complete.

What will I study?

Topics covered include:

  • Understand your own barriers and develop an approach to overcome these
  • Rediscover your skills and attributes
  • Improve your confidence to communicate and work with others
  • Set realistic and achievable future goals and understand how to work towards these goals
  • Be inspired to continue your learning and progress towards your future aspirations

How is it assessed?

This course can be completed through online learning, classroom based learning, or both (blended learning). Achievement of the course is through completion of a workbook.

Full tutor support will be provided throughout the course and you will be able to contact your tutor via telephone and email.

Do I need any previous qualifications to start this course?

No previous qualifications are necessary. This course is suitable for anyone that is looking to progress on to a variety of courses.

What are the course fees?

Our courses are FREE of charge, if you are aged 19 or over, and are claiming a relevant means tested benefit, or are working and earning under £18,525 per year.

What can I go on to do once I have completed this course?

This course provides fantastic progression on to a range of courses such as IT, Health and Social Care, Mental Health Awareness, or a variety of other sector specific courses, depending on your goals. Your tutor will discuss this with you at the end of your course.
