The Foundation degree in Social Policy, Health and Housing, with additional validation from the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH), will provide you with the opportunity to actively engage in the analysis of current local, national and international social issues. Discovering how and why societies change and how policies are put in place to respond to these changes, you will study a range of modules, covering politics, health and housing.

With ample opportunities to explore multi-agency and community approaches to social problems, you will examine issues surrounding social citizenship rights, equality, fairness and basic human rights. This degree course also provides the opportunity to discuss and debate critical perspectives on crime, poverty, gender and ethnic inequalities, as you assess the impact of each on individuals and society as a whole.
