Public and Uniformed Services students put their teamwork and endurance skills to the test as they scaled the summit of Snowdon, the highest mountain inWales! After an exhilarating four-and-a-half-hour ascent, the group reached the summit, withstanding temperatures of -5 degrees, being sure to take some stunning snaps at the top. The students prepared for their expedition with a rigorous training regime, including three hours of cardiovascular exercise per week and regular strength training in the College's gym, where they’ve been using the treadmills on a high incline to prepare them for steep climbing. CAREERS DAY WITH The students received audition tips from Shakespeare North's Senior Producer, took part in a writing and performance workshop with their SpokenWord Producer, and then got the chance to practice their monologues centre stage at the Shakespeare North Playhouse as part of their auditionmodule. The careers day is one of many opportunities our students have access to as part of our partnership with Shakespeare North Playhouse, providing unique opportunities to explore the venue’s incredible creative spaces as professionals!
