Animal Management students visited Blackpool Zoo and Knowsley Safari, where they observed the behaviour of a variety of species, carried out echograms, attended keeper talks and took part in a parrot flight demonstration! BEHIND THE SCENES AT BLACKPOOL ZOO AND KNOWSLEY SAFARI SPOOKTACULAR PROPS SCARE VISITORS Wickedly talented Art and Design students created spooky props and signs for the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation's annual Spooky Welly Walk in Sefton Park, Liverpool and Cannon Hill Park, Birmingham! The event attracts 10,000 visitors every year, and our students' amazing creations were placed at photo stations across the parks. Engineering, Motor Vehicle and Electrical Installation students and apprentices had the unique chance to explore the UK's first hydrogen-powered refuse collection vehicle, giving theman insight into the cutting- edge technology they will be working with in their future careers! The FAUNZoeller "Bluepower" vehicle is the first of ten trucks ordered by St Helens Borough Council, as part of their commitment to achieving net-zero carbon emissions. BRITAINS' FIRST HYDROGEN REFUSE VEHICLE COMES TO COLLEGE Things got competitive between our Sports students and players and coaching staff fromSt Helens RLFC and St HelensWomen's Squad during an exciting Tag Rugby session! During the session, the students got to play and referee, learning the rules of the game, whilst honing their skills and working in teams. TAG, YOU'RE IT! 17 18
