Visit www.sthelens.ac.uk/travel for more information TownCentre Campus 102 Travel and Tourism Students completedwater survival training at Fleetwood Nautical Campus, where they practisedwater survival techniques and evacuation procedures. They even completed a simulated helicopter rescue! Students attendedManchester Airport's Jobs Fair, where they explored job opportunities fromacross the sector, including roles at the airport and a number of airlines. The students also networkedwith industry professionals froma range of companies, including Swissport International, Travelex, Jet2.comand Jet2holidays and TUI. Students headed oversees to visit Albufeira in the Algarve to explore the country's culture and tourism industry. They experienced theOld Town of Albufeira, took a boat trip to visit the Benagil Cave in Carvoeiro and explored Vilamoura. Cabin Crew students flew to Tenerife with one of the largest airlines in the UK, Jet2.com. Working alongside Jet2 Cabin Crew, the students assistedwith in-flight duties including serving passengers! 103
