English andMaths Achieving a good standard of English andmaths is a key requirement for many jobs, as well as for courses youmay wish to progress on to. These skills can alsomean higher earnings in the future! If you achieve belowa grade 4 in your English andmaths GCSEs, youwill be required to study English andmaths as part of your study programme, alongside your chosen subject. But don’t worry - we have a friendly and experienced teamwhowill provide support with everything from learning labs and revision sessions to online resources. It may even be that you already have a grade 4 or above in these subjects but wish to achieve a higher grade. We can also support you to do this too! 28 Are you academically strong with a specific career inmind? Designed by employers, T Levels combine practical and theoretical learningwith real-life industry experience. You’ll spend 80%of your time in College and 20%on a 45-day industry placement to experience having a real career while you continue your studies. See page 30 for more information. Do youprefer to learn in a practical, hands-onway? Working in a practical, hands-on way, youwill complete coursework alongside assessments, specialising in one subject. These types of courses are great if you knowwhat youwant to do in the future. See page 32 for more information. Would youprefer to learn on- the-jobwhilst earning awage? With an apprenticeship, you’ll spend 20%of your time in College, learning the theory behind your qualification and 80%with an employer in theworkplace, earning a salary and developing job- specific skills.
