Fromcontouring and false eyelashes to spray tanning, pedicures and skincare treatments, you will practise your skills and knowledge in our very own commercial salon, The Lounge. You will also showcase your skills in industry competitions such as WorldSkills, and use the latest brands including Dermalogica, Glitterbels by Annabel and Eve Taylor, tomeet the demands of the industry. The flagship salon is also the headquarters for Glitterbels, the world-famous acrylic nail products that our students use throughout their studies. The students had the chance tomeet Annabel Maginnis, founder of Glitterbels, and Head Trainer, Charli Jepson, to learnmore about their products and howAnnabel started her business. Students visited Lush in Liverpool for an exclusive tour of the world’s largest Lush store and spa. The students learnt all about Lush ethics, how the business started, including detailed information about their products and how they aremade. They even had a go at making their own Lush Bubble Bar and took home some free sample products. Hairdressing and Beauty students competed in the Association of Hairdressers and Therapists (AHT) Northwest Championships in Blackpool. Ten of our talented studentsmade it through to the National Final, with the College scooping second place for the overall ‘Best College in the Northwest'. We are incredibly proud of level 3 students, Sammie-Jo, Amanda and Charli, whomade it through to theWorldSkills UK finals!
