The students ran a "Football Friends" tournament, where students fromour Sports, Business, Performing Arts and Health and Social Care departments were put into 5-a-side teams, rotating players as the organising students acted as officials. They also hosted a Christmas bake sale and teamed upwith our catering department to host a world food event in the canteen, serving up dishes traditional fromdifferent countries! Not only did the students raisemoney for an excellent cause, but the fundraisers also contributed to the students' "Planning an Event" module, giving thema chance to put into practice the planning and organisation skills they'll use in their future careers. 51
