Our Amazing Hairdressing, Beauty Therapy and Makeup students competed in the Association of Hairdressers and Therapists (AHT) Nationals Competition in Blackpool in May.
The students competed in a range of categories from Kings and Queens of the Sea, Fantasy and Bridal and Fashion Blow Drying. Each student had a limited amount of time to bring their ideas to life showcasing their skills and talents to gain a place at the finals.
10 students impressed the judges to make it through to the finals with the College coming in second place for the overall ‘Best College in the North West’.
Six of our talented students took home first, second and third places:
- Adult student Jen won first place as the UK champion for Zodiac makeup.
- Hair and Makeup Artistry students Jason and Robyn took second place for their Glamorous Drag Makeup Style and Character TV Film Makeup
- Hairdressing student Natalie, placed third for her Feminine Hair Up Style
- Makeup Artist Beth, came in fourth for her Fantasy Makeup
