ART AND DESIGN Level 3National Diploma Level 3 ExtendedDiploma Art and Design Practice Art and Design Practice What will I study? Throughout this one-year course, you will develop your creative skills through a range of practical and theoretical units. These units include visual recording, exploring the work of artists and designers, developing your awareness of the ‘creative process’, and discovering materials, techniques and processes relating to your specialism. What will I need? You should have four GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English and/or maths, and an art and design related subject. Progression You could progress on to the level 3Extended Diploma inArt andDesignPractice. What will I study? Throughout this course, you will study various art disciplines including fine art painting, 3D, fashion, textiles, print making, photography and graphic design. You will build a diverse portfolio of work alongside exploring the work of artists and designers and their creative intentions. What will I need? You should have successfully completed the level 3 National Diploma in Art and Design Practice. Progression You could accrue up to 168UCASTariffPoints to take you to university. The Experience! Level 1 Diploma Level 2Diploma Art andMedia Art and Design Skills What will I study? This introductory course will support you to develop a wide range of skills such as problem-solving, teamwork, communication and research, to prepare you for the next level of study in art or media. You will develop your skills in creating original, creative artwork, graphic design, filmmaking and animation, whilst researching relevant topics and exploring creative processes. What will I need? You do not need any formal qualifications, just a passion and commitment to your studies. Progression You could progress on to the level 2Diploma inArt andDesignSkills or the level 2Diploma inCreative MediaSkills. What will I study? Throughout this one-year course, you will explore many art disciplines such as drawing, painting, printing and photography, includingworking three dimensionally withmaterials such as wood, metal, plastic and ceramics. You will also develop your portfolio of work, by exploring and producing art across a range of projects. What will I need? You should have oneGCSE at grade 4 or above or have successfully achieved a level 1 Art and Design qualification.
