Throughout this advanced two-year course, you will explore the practice of IT project management and how to provide effective IT technical support and service delivery. You will also gain advanced knowledge of cyber security, event driven programming andwebsite customisation. As this course is hands-on and practical, you will also have the opportunity towork on your own project such as developing a website and creating systems to manage information. What will I need? You should have fiveGCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English and/or maths. Progression You could accrue up to 168UCASTariffPoints to take you to university. Level 2 Technical Diploma Digital Technology What will I study? During this one-year course, youwill build a strong foundation of knowledge and skills to enable you to successfully enter a career in a digital environment. Youwill explore systems infrastructure, application development, web development, social media and network security. Youwill also develop your understanding of business analysis including providing digital content for organisations. What will I need? You should have four GCSEs at grade 3 or above, including English or maths. Progression You could progress on to the level 3 Extended Diploma in Information Technology or the T Level in Digital Production, Design and Development. Digital Production, Design and Development What will I study? Designed by employers, this two-year T Level combines practical and theoretical learningwith real-life industry experience. You’ll spend 80%of your time in College, covering topics such as digital legislation and security and emerging issues and impact of digital and 20%on a 45-day industry placement to experience having a real career while you continue your studies. What will I need? You should have fiveGCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English language andmaths. Progression Having achieved the equivalent to three A levels, you could progress on to university including HND Digital Technologies at University Centre St Helens, a higher/degree apprenticeship or employment. 51
