During this one-year course, youwill practise your skills on commercial clients including cutting, colouring and styling. Youwill also learn how to conduct client consultations andmaster the art of shampooing and conditioning the hair and scalp, whilst providing impeccable customer service to create a relaxing environment. What will I need? You should have four GCSEs at grade 3 or above, including English andmaths. Progression You could progress directly into employment, on to the level 3 Diploma inWomen’s Hairdressing or on to an apprenticeship. What will I study? This advanced one-year course is designed to prepare you for a successful career as aHairdresser/ Stylist. Youwill practise your cutting, colouring and styling skills on commercial clients. There is also an opportunity to become aState RegisteredHairdresser (SRH) with theHair Council at the end of your course, an official recognition that is valued by employers. What will I need? You should have achieved a level 2 Hairdressing qualification. Progression You are ready to progress directly into employment. What will I study? During this one-year course, you will develop a variety of advanced, practical and creative skills to prepare you for a career as a Barber in the industry. You will learn how to creatively cut men’s hair, provide facial hair designs and promote, market and plan the financial effectiveness of your business. What will I need? You should have successfully achieved a level 2 Barbering qualification. Progression You are ready to progress directly into employment. Hairdressing students travelled to Coventry to attend the annual Beauty UK Show trade exhibition! The students had access to live demonstrations and tutorials from some of the country’s leading MUAs, training academies and influencers. The Experience! 65
