Throughout this one-year course, you will develop the required skills and knowledge to become a successful Barber. You will enhance your cutting techniques when cuttingmen’s hair and facial hair. You will also provide client consultations and learn tips on how to successfully promote products and services to paying clients. What will I need? You should have four GCSEs at grade 3or above, includingEnglish andmaths. Progression You could progress on to the level 3Diploma in Barbering, directly into employment or on to an apprenticeship. Level 1 Certificate Hairdressing What will I study? This one-year course is a great introduction to the industry. Youwill develop the skills and knowledge required to progress on to the next level of study andwill have the opportunity to completework experiencewithin a salon setting. Youwill explore everything fromdressing and styling hair to colouring hair effectively andmaintaining a professional image in the salon. What will I need? You do not need any formal qualifications, just passion and a commitment to your studies.
