Designed by employers, this two-year T Level combines practical and theoretical learningwith real-life industry experience. You’ll spend 80% of your time in College, covering topics such as good scientific and clinical practice and infection prevention and control in health-specific settings and 20%on a 45-day industry placement to experience having a real career while you continue your studies. What will I need? You should have fiveGCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English language, maths and science. Progression Having achieved the equivalent to three A levels, you could progress on to university, a higher/degree apprenticeship or into employment. HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE What will I study? This advanced two-year course, supported by NHSTrusts, WhistonHospital and theNorthwest AmbulanceService, combineswork placements in settings such as specialist units, outpatient wards and care homes. Youwill explore everything fromhealth promotion and healthpsychology to anatomy andmedication in health and social care. If you are interested in an allied health career, this course could also formpart of aCadetship. What will I need? You should have fiveGCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English andmaths. Progression You could accrue up to 168UCASTariffPoints to take you to university. Alternatively, you could secure employment or a higher apprenticeship. Level 3Certificate Preparing toWork in Adult Social Care What will I study? This recognised qualification allows you to understand and develop the skills needed for working and caring for adults by exploring care plans, roles and responsibilities in the sector. This qualification is also enhancedwithmandatory work placements in the care sector to develop your confidence and employability skills. What will I need? You should have threeGCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English and/or maths. Progression You could progress on to the level 3Technical ExtendedDiploma inHealth andSocial Care or directly into employment.
