Our Public and Uniformed Services department hosted their annual career’s fair that welcomed a flurry of public service workers and armed forces teams to College, who were on hand to share their wealth of advice and guidance to our aspiring students.

The event welcomed visitors from the fire service, police, DWP, Royal Navy, Royal Air Force, Royal Marines and British Army, all of whom provided a real glimpse into the industry, displaying a range of specialised equipment and combat vehicles that filled the College forecourt.

The event was a great success and saw more than 400 students get involved. It provided the ultimate opportunity for them to meet industry experts and to ask those all important questions, seeking advice on job roles and entry requirements.

Public and Uniformed Services lecturer, Grant Williams, commented: "The feedback from this event has been excellent. Events like these are a great way of showing students the variety of opportunities and path ways available to them. Even to those who think the industry doesn’t apply to them, whether you’re studying Catering or wanting to go into Engineering, there are a multitude of career options available in public services.”
