HNC Mechanical Engineering
Apprentice progresses his way on to HNC
"After joining the level 2 course, I began to try and source an apprenticeship within the industry as I wanted to gain qualifications in a way that involved practical work. I was better placed as I had some skills and knowledge, plus the College tutors helped me with their industry links. I joined Total Steelwork on an apprenticeship which meant that I could progress on and study my level 3 qualification, while also earning a wage and putting my skills to practice in a real work environment. My employer is now funding my degree and I’m studying HNC Mechanical Engineering at University Centre St Helens".
