Now in its 13th year, our staff and students came together for our annual Faith Fair, welcoming 12 worldview representatives from various faith and cultural groups, such as Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Mormonism, Gideon’s International and Deism, amongst others.

The aim of the Fair was to create an opportunity for people to explore their own views whilst learning about other worldviews, which are present within our communities today. During the afternoon, our students also had the opportunity to put their questions to our Faith Discussion Panel.

To mark the anniversary of the Holocaust, the fair proudly welcomed The ICEJ Holocaust Exhibition, coinciding with Holocaust Memorial Day.

The photographic exhibition, which contains real-life stories of Holocaust victims and survivors, tells the story of how Muslims helped to rescue Jewish people during the Srebrenica Genocide of 1995. The exhibition will be based in the Town Centre Campus Library until Monday 3rd February 2020.

Students and staff are invited to visit the exhibition and to leave comments in a visitors’ book, which is located on the library reception desk.

St Helens College’s Chaplain, Paul Johnson, commented, “This year’s event has been excellent, with hundreds of students attending the exhibition and over 200 people present at the question time. It has been great to see the Prevent Agenda and British Values being explored in such a fun and lively environment.”
