Aspiring ICU Nurse, Uche, is celebrating after achieving an impressive grade 5 in his GCSE English examination. His determination has now allowed him to progress on to university to study Nursing.
Uche said, “Achieving the required grade for GCSE English is one of my greatest achievements in life. I owe a very big thanks to my tutors and the entire staff at the College. Their support has been invaluable. I have thoroughly enjoyed the programme and my reading and writing skills have tremendously improved. This has become a valuable and great asset to me on my journey to becoming a Registered Nurse.”
Another student, Thomas, is delighted after receiving his grade 4 in GCSE English.
Thomas said, “I am really proud of my results, as this means I can now apply for a place at university to gain entry on to a PGCE teacher training programme.”
Thomas is currently a SEND Teaching Assistant, working with young children with autism and learning difficulties. His GCSE results mean he is now one step closer to achieving his goal of becoming a qualified SEN Teacher.
He said, “I would wholeheartedly recommend the College to anyone who is wanting to gain an English GCSE for either personal or professional development, or to enhance their access to a range of university degrees."
He added, "The staff, environment and the social aspect was utterly amazing, and the support and reassurance I received from my Tutor, Ailz was phenomenal. I am truly proud of my achievement and I hope those who read this and may also be thinking about studying GCSEs, feel inspired to do the same.”
