Creative Media at St Helens College provides you with a unique, competitive edge. Our courses focus heavily on the digital aspects of media, ensuring you develop the digital skills and knowledge required to meet the demands of the industry.

You will explore the creative world of media through a range of practical projects including documentaries, multi-camera production, soundtrack production and print-based media.

Learning in a real work environment, you'll operate industry standard equipment in our brand new £60,000 TV studio, infinity cove and editing suite, devising, producing, directing and creating - developing all of the skills you’ll need for a career in the media industry.

Our industry experienced tutors have fantastic employer links, enabling you to work on live projects and briefs with professional clients ranging from St Helens Rugby League Club to Wish FM.

Students regularly go on trips to shoot on location and gain inspiration for future projects.

Many students have chosen to 'stay local' and have progressed on to FdSc in Media Production at University Centre St Helens, accredited by university partner, University of Central Lancashire. Others have chosen to study at De Montfort University, University of Salford and Edge Hill University.
