Our BA (Hons) Fine Art Painting degree course is delivered within the Creative Arts department at University Centre St Helens. It’s a unique course offered at only a handful of institutions in the UK.

Over the three years of the course, students have the opportunity to develop an individual, deep understanding of established painting principles, to innovate, experiment and acquire confidence with a wide range of creative, technical, philosophical and aesthetic processes within fine art painting.

You will benefit from having your very own spacious creative studio space alongside painting studios as well as facilities and resources for life drawing, printing, digital image and photographic work, wood workshops and theory/lecture rooms. The facilities and resources are set in a modern, spacious studio environment.

You will be taught by experienced and professional lecturers who have extensive, professional experience in the production, marketing and exhibiting of their work in regional, national and international galleries.
