University Centre St Helens is a brand name of St Helens College. University Centre St Helens endeavours to deliver degrees of study in accordance with the description set out in this prospectus. This prospectus is produced at the earliest possible date (September 2020) in order to provide maximum assistance to individuals considering applying for a degree offered at University Centre St Helens. Every effort has been made to ensure that the information contained in the prospectus is accurate but it is possible that some changes may occur between the date of printing and the start of the academic year to which it relates. University Centre St Helens reserves the right to amend, remove and add courses in the future. In addition, degrees may change during the course of study and in such circumstances, University Centre St Helens will normally undertake a consultation process prior to any such changes and seek to ensure that no student is unreasonably prejudiced as a consequence of any such change. As University Centre St Helens works with a range of partner institutions, advertised modules may vary or change from those advertised in this prospectus. As soon as we become aware of any amendments to a module, we will communicate out to all of those who have accepted an offer on the affected degree, confirming changes and reminding you of your right to cancel. The full list of modules indicated on course pages are for information purposes only. Certain modules may not be delivered every year. When accepting your offer of a place to study on this course, you are accepting that it is possible that not all of these modules will be available. At the point of interview, you will have an opportunity to discuss the course content and module delivery with the tutor who is interviewing you. University Centre St Helens does not accept responsibility (other than through the negligence of University Centre St Helens, its staff or agents), for the consequences of any modification or cancellation of any degree, or part of a degree offered. University Centre St Helens will take into consideration the effects on individual students and seek to minimise the impact of such effects where reasonably practicable. University Centre St Helens cannot accept any liability for disruption to its provision of educational or other services caused by circumstances beyond its control and will take all reasonable steps to minimise the resultant disruption to such services. That contract comes into force when you inform us that you accept your offer. For students to be eligible for funding from Student Finance England, they must be studying on an eligible course at a provider registered with the Office for Students (OfS). The OfS is the independent regulator for higher education in England. All higher education providers are required to register with the OfS in order for their students to be eligible for student support in the 2021- 22 academic year. St Helens College is a Registered Provider with the OfS and as such, all qualifying students will be able to access funding via Student Finance England. You may incur additional costs whilst studying on your degree programme. Typically, additional costs are a combination of mandatory or optional expenses you may need to pay during your course of studies. These often comprise of materials, equipment, field trips, work placement costs (this list is not exhaustive) and are not included in your tuition fee payment. It is important to note that tuition fees do not cover the costs of purchasing materials that are required for completion of the degree, including books, stationery, printing, dissertation binding or photocopying costs (non-exhaustive list).
