Our Level 3 Public and Uniformed Services students were put through their paces during a circuit training session at Formby Beach recently.

The students took to the sand dune and completed body weight exercises targeting all their muscle groups. Running and exercising on sand is extra tough on muscles and the cardiovascular system, and is a technique used by the Armed Forces to simulate harsh weather and terrain.

This experience helps to prepare our students for their future careers in the public and uniformed services, where they will regularly be pushed out of their comfort zones to be the very best they can be!
