What a treat for our Level 3 Professional Cookery students who enjoyed a private dinner with Chef Patron, Paul Askew, at his Liverpool fine dining restaurant The Art School Restaurant Liverpool last week.

The students received an exclusive tour of the restaurant, including their kitchens, wine cellar, and private dining room, where they enjoyed a delicious 5-course meal, including summer mocktails on arrival, Sauté squid and tiger prawns to start, followed by smoked loin for main, and the Art Schools’ signature dessert to finish.

The trip was an 'End of Year' celebration for the students but also contributed to their final assessments, where they have to compare and assess the service at a number of restaurants.

It was lovely to catch up with our Hospitality Alumni, Alex, as well, who started with us on the Level 2 Food and Beverage Services course and went on to secure a full-time role as a Commis Waiter at the Art School.

Alex has since progressed to Restaurant Manager and is doing a great job of managing the team.
