St Helens College recognises the value of working in collaboration with schools, careers advisers, parents/carers and students in order to promote choice and opportunities.

Throughout the year, St Helens College's School Liaison Team work closely with high schools, sixth forms and colleges across the Northwest region. This is to provide information, advice and guidance on the progression options available for students, including traineeships, apprenticeships, A levels, technical and professional qualifications, and higher education.

This helps students to make the most informed choice about their progression and future education.

We are available to visit schools throughout the academic year to cover events such as careers fairs, options evenings, workshops and assembly presentations. We also assist many schools with mock interview sessions to help prepare Year 11 students for the world of employment or further education.

College Taster Sessions and Tours

We can help to coordinate fun taster sessions and tours, which are both great for allowing students to try out courses and view the College facilities. The timings can be flexible and can be done on an individual or group basis.

If you would like to receive more information, arrange for The School Liaison Team to visit your school, wish to book a taster session or tour, please contact Lisa Cooke on 01744 623375 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

De La Salle School - School Liaison Testimonial
De La Salle High School Logo

"During my time as Careers Coordinator at De La Salle School, I have worked closely with the School Liaison Team at St Helens College and I can honestly say that they have all been amazingly helpful!

The team have worked tirelessly to provide our school students with everything we have asked of them - information, bespoke sessions, hands on workshops, both small and larger year group visits. The team have always been on hand to represent St Helens College at all our year 9, 10 and 11 parents and options evenings. I am really keen to develop these links further in the future to ensure that all our students are given the opportunity to discover the learning establishment which is right for them."
